Anil Srivastava has recently joined the INCTR community as the Director of the Open Health Systems Laboratory (OHSL), located at Johns Hopkins Montgomery County Campus. The purpose of this lab is to serve as a 'sandbox' for ideas and technologies, especially to create interoperable systems using open source and standard based tools.

He's also a member of the OERC Advisory Committee. The purpose of the Open Education Resources Center (OERC) - for which INCTR is the lead affiliate organization - is to create and make available to developing countries (at no cost to the user) a central access point for knowledge sharing in the realm of education for cancer control, diagnosis, treatment, care and prevention.

Much of Anil Srivastava’s work has been at the intersection of innovation, knowledge economy, and societal applications of technology. This has led to a deep interest in emerging technology and social structures often leading to pioneering work in many fields much ahead of its time. Often his work has been concerned with the evolution of technology and how it can be appropriated for social development.

During his career Anil Srivastava has worked with many organizations in the field of international development including:

FAO: Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations
IDRC: International Development Research Centre
ILO: International Labour Organization of the United Nations
UNDP: United Nations Development Program
UNESCO: United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization
UNICEF: United Nations Children’s Fund
USAID: United States Agency for International Development
WHO: World Health Organization
WIF: Worldview International Foundation

We are delighted to have him as part of the INCTR community.
