Dr Martin Ogwang Comments on Mr Anthony

Dr Martin Ogwang, Institutional Director of St Mary’s Hospital, Lacor in Gulu, Uganda has offered additional comments on the story of Mr Anthony and his son. Dr Ogwang states, “Mr Anthony is now a community volunteer, sensitizing the community on cancers, causes, treatment and support. His son Micheal is still being followed up at Lacor. Micheal is now well enough and playing around with fellow children”. This demonstrates that parents of children with cancer can become powerful advocates for those afflicted with cancer – even in countries where resources are limited.
