Tobacco Control
DSC_8159.JPG

Tobacco control remains of critical importance in India. One of the ways in which this program will function will be to develop initially no smoking zones (in, for example, hotels and shops) and move towards banning smoking in the workplace. Once this has been accomplished, the next step will be to prevent the sale of tobacco in grocery stores. Eventually a committee will be established to work with the state government at bringing down the smoking rate to zero using all methods that have been shown to be effective. This will not be an easy task, and of course, there will be problems to overcome, such as cigarettes being smuggled over state borders, but INCTR India will not be content until Rajisthan is a tobacco free state!
