TUCCA Music for Cure

Two years after TUCCA´s foundation, Dr Sidnei Epelman, President of TUCCA and of INCTR Brazil and Dr Claudia Epelman, Vice-President of TUCCA and Director of INCTR Brazil had a great and innovative idea: to enthrall supporters with music. The TUCCA Music for Cure Project was then created and subsequently the difficult task of raising resources to help children with cancer and their families in Brazil became easier.

The music project has two series, TUCCA “Aprendiz de Maestro” (Maestro’s Apprentice), a classical music season made for children and TUCCA de Concertos Internacionais (International Concerts), a distinguished classical/contemporary music season which has been acknowledged as one of the best in the country, are sponsored by different supporters. Proceeds from the sale of concert tickets are used to provide, in partnership with Santa Marcelina Hospital which is situated in one the poorest areas of São Paulo, multidisciplinary treatment to children and adolescents with cancer.
